For Bands and Artist
If your band is ready, then we are ready. You can use our house recording talent or bring your own. If you need session musicians, we have plenty of talented folks here from all backgrounds that can tickle the ivories or sing a sweet background.
For Producers / Engineers
Our industry standard equipment will take your focus off ‘troubleshooting’ and give you time to dial in that sound and capture that performance. On your 1st day, one of our staff will be there to help you get set up and make sure you have everything you need to be successful.
For Everyone
blackngold.studio is dedicated to the creative process as a whole. If you’ve got some great songs and need a hand taking them to the next level, we can help. If you’re a producer looking for a studio to thrive in, we can help. There’s no request too big or idea too small. We really want to meet you!
Neon: The Sound
Drums sound punchy and tight. The room is an ’80’s’ inspired room (think more Tom Petty and less Phil Collins).
Thumpy. Big. Full. Strong. Present. Warm.
We have a wide selection of Bass and Guitar amps to capture your vibe. Plenty of mics to find the right sound.

Live Sessions with 3-5 Musicians

Experimenting with sounds (Reamping, etc.)
Loft: The Sound
Drums in the Live room are full of energy. Wood floors do the work and the sound treatment is in all the right places. Throw a mic in the shower for some nice room tones.
Drums in the iso booth are tight, but not compressed. Controlled but with depth, drums and percussion sound great.
The modular panels in the Live room gives you the freedom to find the sweet spot. We’ve taken all the panels down for a choir. We’ve used our baffles to get an intimate sound for an acoustic set. This room was designed to give you the ability to control the room.
The Booth is great for vocals. You can also use the baffles in there to control it’s size.

The Vibe
It’s been described as “working comfort”. We have 16 smart bulbs in the space to set the vibe of whatever you’re working on. Plus a comfy couch right behind the desk so you’re always connected to the project you’re working on.
We thrive off creative energy. Our favorite phase is “Let’s try it and see what happens”.
The Budget
Depends on the scope of your project but we want to make it work.
Our pricing starts at $400 for a 6 hour day and can change based on how many sessions are needed or if you need additional help (engineers, producers, studio musicians, etc.)
We never want budget to be a barrier so tell us what the situation is and we’ll work something out.
The Gear List
It’s ever-changing and ever expanding. Some of the basics include: Adams Audio Speakers, Apollo x8p Interface, and a Mac Mini (M1). We have the standards like MD-421’s and re20’s as well.
The Engineer
Bring your own or use one of our house engineers.
Our house guys know the room and know the equipment well. We’ll also make sure to match your style with a knowledgeable engineer who can bring your song to life!
